Hello world, for today's post, I decided to interview someone I do know,

Whom I defintely think has a descent and classy style. It's all about fashion influences!

Here is the 2nd one to come up with one of my closest beautiful friend Caroline coming straight from Boston, originally from Switzerland

CAROLINE - STYLE INTERVIEW

Can you define today's fashion trend in general for the year of 2013 for men as well as for women ?

Sport chic I would say. Fashion became classier. It also get inspired by the 80’s. 

So you're coming from Switzerland and live in Boston any differences of style dressing ? how would you describe the style over there ?

I would say that Switzerland always falls behind. People are reluctant to try new things. Best example will be rubber boots. I have been wearing them for 2 or 3 years and it is only now that people are starting to wear them. Before most people would make fun of rubber boots.
 
Where do you get your inspiration from ? Streets, magazines ?

From everywhere. Streets, magazines, social network, TV, billboard. If you look around, you will always find inspiration.

How would you describe your style?

That is a good question. I think I always go with my mood. Your style defines yourself. People tend to tell me that I have a classic way of dressing but always according to new trend. I am not what that means.
 

Any colour you like wearing in particular?

Black
 
Who are your fashion icons ?

I don’t have any particular icon. But if I have to choose I would maybe say dulcecandy, a girl on instagram.
 
Any specific store you go to? Which one and why those places ?

Zara, Mango, H&M… I always find something and it is affordable.
 
Do you work in the fashion industry?

I don’t.
 
Do you feel like fashion has upgraded or degraded ? Do you think people dress less sophisticatedly or too sexy ?

I would say fashion has upgraded but people have degraded. They do not understand how to match clothes. 
A little too sexy I’d say. Girls don’t understand that a nice dress is supposed to be either short or with a neckline, not both.
 
What is your favourite trend of the moment and why?

Back to the 60’s. Classier and more sophisticated. It goes with my ambition :)
 
Any fashion show you've been too and which one was your favourite?

The only fashion show I have been to is a fashion show from Bybeenk, owned by a Swiss girl and not very famous yet.
 
Do you think dance and fashion could be combined ? The way dancers dressed , do you think it can have an impact on our daily lives in terms of dressing ?

I guess so. I know a couple of dancers that launched a clothes brand.
 
Some people are "born" with style and/ or elegance , some learn within the years. Did always have a style?

Honestly, I have to say no. I got interested to fashion when I was 15, but it is only when I turned 20, that I figure out MY style.
 
For me there's 3 type of categories when it comes to shopping either having a focus on - the price - quality - brand In which one would you find yourself?

Before I would have say quality. Since now I am a full-time student I have to say price.
 
What would be the "nay" in fashion ? An item that shouldn't be worn or items or prints that shouldn't be mixed together ?

Loose bottom and loose top. Seriously you cannot. Either you were a wide skirt and a tights shirt or the opposite.
 
What's your favourite piece of items to wear ? Shoes , accessories , shoes?

SHOES and dresses.
 
And finally any favourite season to dress up? And why?

Spring. In spring everything is allowed. Skirt and jeans.

Having an open minded person for style just like her you will definitely get inspired. Ladies take notes!

Fall Trend with Michael Kors runaway looks 2013

And so Fashion week it is for fall

It's all over the news, websites, tv, pictures and word to mouth, Michael Kors is everywhere !

Clothes going more for bright vivid colors that still shine through those cloudy days.

A beautiful electric blue having a great impact on the stage made those models stand out great.

This is my favorite color of all times since always and let me tell you guys: Blue will NEVER disapoint you! Wether it's a skirt, dress or a jacket, blending it with a basic black color, is a perfect much to make this shade appearing under the lights of the fashion show.

Military prints never fails, so unisex and within those last few years still in the trend business. Paired up with a a black ornament such as the black belt to give this woman a meaning to her body, by giving her a great shape is exaclty what's needed. On top of it those shoes and leather bag that accessorize the whole look make it more outstanding! It' simply a combo of a classy & street look.

A bedazzled dress that caught my eyes right on the spot, it's an "all eyes on her type of thing" look. A black gown attached to it makes it more creative , Don't you think?

Attending those runaways fall shows makes me want to go to the one in New York Next year so hopefully!

Chunky accessories

Admit it! We all secretly love chunky accessories that makes our outfit look more high fashion

or casual chic. These pieces of jewelries are for sure "eye catching" no matter how many pieces you own whether you're wearing one or two.

Most of the magazine editors or fashion directors have an eye for big pieces to create a whole look for the front cover of a fashion magazine in order to showcase the designer's work and to make the clothes stand out more. They complete the look.

Stripes Clothes That Never Get Old Fashioned

[Google pictures] Hi, just a reminder: Wether it's vertical, horizontal or diagonal stripes, they never get old fashioned for some reasons. And can be worn like a layback outfit, casual work day or even as an evening outfit.

1) Jessica Biel rock the streets by wearing black leather boots, black skinny jeans, followed by a white black & white  tshirt and to make it all chick and simple, a black blazer is enough. (Can be worn at day tine as well at night time).

2) On the to the next with Lauren Conrad (who is my inspiration). Her day look may be more L.A layback. Starting from the top. She is wearing Ray Ban sun glasses with a red & white stripe top with mid sleeves, mild/ dark blue skinny jeans and finally a beige leather jacket.

3) If you are looking for a more hippie/indie style. You better refer to the actress Lindsay Lohan, who pulled out a beautiful look with the black fedora (hat), horizontal white and grey stripes, the 60's shorts ( I call it that way because it reminds me of the period where all the ladies like Audrey Hepburn & Marilyn Monroe used to wear those shorts) And of course to end up the ensemble comes the beige leather handbag!

4) Nicole Richie (my other inspiring person) is wearing a wool light beige hat that makes the outfit more sporty. Plus she is also wearing a black & white stripes top (which makes it basic) & white snickers. Who would have thought that wearing a leather jacket and a black leather chic handbag with a sporty look would look good on someone?! Well Nicole proved us right. But that's what makes her unique . (Kinda make me think of my mom' look in her comfy days).

5) Finally ending up with one more description with Stephani Pratt ( from the tv show The Hills). Her look is more lay back and casual. Why not mix a loose black &white tshirt with mild used jeans and simple flip flops. The red handbag gives a more chic vibe!
